UNGLE TREKING – ONE DAY
This is our most popular trip as it give easy access for people who want to experience the wildlife, waterfalls and tropical jungle that we have here in Koh Kong. A hike you will always remember with a smile!
OPTION1
The day starts at 8:30am with a Tuk Tuk pick up at your hotel. We will take you to the dock for a Long Tail boat ride, up river, into the Cardamom Mountains. The scenic river travel takes about 1hr 20min.
We begin the trek to a beautiful view point, 3hour, then a break. Then the trail goes into the gorge arriving at the waterfalls where you can have a refreshing swim. Here, we will have a lunch and spend time relaxing in the tropical jungle setting with the water at your feet.
After, we will take a different route,1hours to the boat and then
Long Tail boat will return to town early evening so you are on the water during our beautiful sunsets that we have here, 5 to 6pm. and Tuk Tuk will take you to your hotel.
OPTION2
At 8am, you will get pick up at your hotel for a drive to the base
of the Cardamom Mountains where we park at a trailhead. 40min. We begin the hike here and travel 5 hour to a waterfall for lunch and a swim. Our return follows a different route back to the trailhead. This trek is more physical than option 1.
On the return, if you wish, we can stop at a khmer village and experience local life up close. Arrive in Koh kong at 6:30pm.
Option 1 is $25 each. children under 14, $18, min.3 people.
Option 2 is $35 each.Minimum 2people.
JUNGLE TREK CAMPING
Our Jungle camping trips are based in the beautiful Cardamom Mountains, home to many of SE Asia’s rare plants and animals. One of the last intact large jungle mountains in the region, its habitat is important to preserve. Eco-tours in the area have a positive impact to the local Khmers as it provides alternative income without damage to the environment.
The trip begins with a Tuk Tuk pick up at your hotel, 7:40am. We will then drive to the trailhead, 40 minutes. Trekking for 5 hours, the group arrives at a waterfall where you can cool off with a swim and a lunch break. This is the camping location where gear is dropped and you can stay here for the day or explore the jungle with a 2/3 hour trek, returning to the waterfall where camp is made. The guides will prepare a BBQ as you relax. After dark, you can go out on a night trek to observe wildlife or, enjoy camp in the jungle.
As the morning light fills the canopy, breakfast will be prepared. After, we will take a different route, 3 hours, and return to the trailhead. A 30min. drive will bring us to the Tatai waterfall for lunch and a swim. Another 30min. drive will have us back in Koh Kong, 2/3pm, and return to your hotel.
This all-inclusive trip requires a minimum of 2 people. Multi- day trips will have a camp location change each day.
